Software companies, SaaS platforms, business-intelligence providers and data teams keep hitting the same wall: to ship weather-informed features for their customers in agriculture, energy, supply chain or distribution, someone has to source, align, clean and verify meteorological data across models and time horizons. Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a datapoint?

One weather parameter, at one location (a pair of latitude and longitude), for one timestamp. Ask for temperature and rainfall at two coordinates for three timestamps, and you have used 2 parameters × 2 coordinates × 3 datetimes = 12 datapoints.

Who is daas for?

Businesses that build software: SaaS platforms, business-intelligence providers, and data and analytics teams that embed weather data into their own products, typically for customers in agriculture, energy, supply chain and distribution. daas is a business-to-business service and is not offered to consumers.

Which data is available today?

Météo-France AROME at 0.01° resolution, covering western Europe.

AROME Ensemble is next, then further models (DWD ICON-EU and ICON, ECMWF IFS and AIFS).

The parameter list is deliberately curated rather than exhaustive:

  • temperature
  • rainfall
  • humidity
  • pressure
  • wind speed and direction
  • gust speed and direction

Others, such as snowfall, hail, thunder and lightning, can and will be integrated over time.

Can I use the data inside my own product?

Yes. Your plan includes a licence to use the data within your own products, services and analytics, including features you ship to your end users. What you may not do is resell or redistribute the raw data as a standalone or competing feed. The terms of service have the details.

Do credits expire?

No. Pay-as-you-go credits are a one-time purchase and never expire.

What happens when I reach my monthly allowance?

Each plan includes a small grace band above its allowance (5%), and extra usage can draw on your prepaid credits.

How do I pay?

Payments are handled by Stripe: recurring checkout for subscriptions, one-off checkout for credit purchases.

What is your refund policy?

Fees are firm: started subscription periods and credit purchases are not refunded. Instead of refunds, we make trying daas genuinely free: every new account starts with 24,000 datapoints, and pay-as-you-go credits start at €50 per million datapoints with no subscription, so you can validate the data and your integration before committing to a plan.
